When Bell & Ross introduced the BR-X5, it signaled an ambitious evolution for the Paris-based brand’s square instrument aesthetic. Built on an architectural 41mm multi-piece sandwich case, the line elevated industrial tool watch design into high-end integrated luxury territory.

Now, with the Bell & Ross BR-X5 Meteorite, the brand merges Swiss manufacture horology with a 4.5-billion-year-old cosmic artifact.

Machined directly from a solid fragment of the prehistoric Muonionalusta meteorite without a brass baseplate, the dial reveals an authentic, unrepeatable Widmanstätten pattern—a crystalline organic structure formed over millions of years of cooling in deep space.

Polished, rhodium-plated “bathtub” hour markers filled with blue-emitting Super-LumiNova float above the metallic grey surface, paired with rhodium-plated skeletonised hands and a distinct power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock.

Secured by four exposed structural screws, the 316L stainless steel sandwich case construction balances polished bevels with fine micro-blasted surfaces.

Ticking beneath the mineral display is the manufacture Calibre BR-CAL.323, an automatic movement developed exclusively for Bell & Ross in partnership with specialist movement producer Kenissi.

Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), the chronometer-certified (COSC) movement delivers a robust 70-hour power reserve and features a rapid-setting date window framed at 3 o’clock. Visible through a sapphire exhibition caseback, the movement is fitted with a custom full-metal oscillating weight inspired by sports car wheel rims.

Complemented by an integrated stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp, the watch maintains a 100-metre water resistance rating despite its delicate extraterrestrial dial face.

Limited to just 250 pieces worldwide, the BR-X5 Meteorite successfully bridges the gap between technical watchmaking and geological art, offering collectors a genuinely unique slice of interstellar history secured directly to the wrist.
