Skin-Diver Heritage Meets Global Travel: The Christopher Ward C60 Trident Biscay GMT

The mid-century skin diver occupies a revered corner of horological history, trading professional dive saturation bulk for slender profiles and versatile wearability.

British outfit Christopher Ward leans directly into that mid-century spirit with the C60 Trident Biscay GMT (Ref. C60-39AGM1-S0RK0-B1). Built on the brand’s renowned Light-Catcher™ 316L stainless steel case architecture, the 39mm housing measures a remarkable 12mm in depth with a compact 46.3mm lug-to-lug span.

Despite its slim stance, the case retains an impressive 200-metre (20 ATM) water resistance rating, complete with a screw-down crown and box-sapphire crystal.

Dual-Tone Bezel & Luminous Usability

Framing the matte black dial is a two-tone red and black bi-directional aluminium bezel, designed to differentiate day from night hours across a second time zone.

The aluminium bezel ring is treated to 250HV on the micro-Vickers hardness scale—making it 67 per cent harder than standard untreated aluminium for enhanced scratch resistance.

Unlike previous GMT releases that lumed only the 12 o’clock marker, the Biscay GMT fills every numeral and dot on the bezel with Super-LumiNova Grade X1 BL.

Applied baton indices and gilt-framed hands are filled with custom off-white lume, casting a warm “radium” glow in low light, while a framed date window sits neatly at 6 o’clock.

COSC-Certified Performance & Tool-Less Innovation

Ticking behind a sapphire exhibition caseback is the Swiss-made Sellita SW330-2 automatic GMT calibre.

Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) with a 56-hour power reserve, this movement is COSC-certified to operate within strict chronometer tolerances of -4/+6 seconds per day.

Fitted to the stainless steel Consort or Bader bracelet, the Biscay debuts Christopher Ward’s iLink™ system—a tool-less adjustment mechanism featuring concealed release buttons for effortless link removal.

Combining vintage skin-diver charm, GMT utility, and high-spec Swiss engineering, the C60 Trident Biscay GMT stands as a compelling daily driver for global travellers.
