Honouring Aviation Pioneer Fred Noonan
Many traditional pilot’s watches wear excessively large on the wrist to mimic WWII cockpit gauges.

British independent Marloe Watch Company challenges that trend with the Marloe Aerodyne Navigator – Pearl Edition (£349), bringing aviation design down to a versatile 38mm footprint.

The Navigator series draws inspiration from Fred Noonan, the navigator who guided Amelia Earhart across remote oceans during their legendary 1937 flight attempt.

Emphasising restraint and legibility, the Pearl edition features a crisp white dial contrasted by black Arabic numerals and orange accents.
Ultra-Slim Lathe-Machined Case & Miyota 9015 Calibre
Measuring under 10mm thick, the 316L stainless steel case is turned on a lathe using 1930s-inspired manufacturing techniques.

Finished in a multi-step blasted matte texture with anti-fingerprint coating, it provides a anti-glare aesthetic suitable for cockpit or field use.
“By housing a Miyota 9015 movement within a 9.8mm blasted steel case, Marloe delivers an authentic pilot’s watch that wears impeccably on any wrist.”
A magnified date window sits at 3 o’clock, while a hairline seconds hand features a propeller counterweight.

Ticking inside is the Japanese Miyota 9015 automatic movement, running at 28,800 vph with a 42-hour power reserve.
