Retailing for £1472, this newly refined chronograph blends the absolute golden era of mid-century racing aesthetics with robust, contemporary technical upgrades that dramatically elevate its everyday wearability.
Architectural Refinement on the Wrist
While Baltic wisely chose to maintain the highly wearable 39.5mm case diameter that collectors have come to champion, the 316L stainless steel chassis has been completely overhauled from the ground up.
In a move that mirrors the historical evolution of legendary mid-century tool watches, the case lines have been given a crisper, significantly sharper profile. The lugs are now wider, imparting a stronger, more assertive presence on the wrist that balances perfectly with a compact 47mm lug-to-lug footprint.
Furthermore, Baltic swapped out the circular finishing found on their earlier chronograph tops for a classic, vertical brushing across the lugs. This subtle nod to the highly coveted sports chronographs of the 1960s elevates the mid-case design, capturing and reflecting light with industrial elegance.
A double-domed sapphire crystal neatly ties the assembly together, bringing a vintage plexiglass warmth and distortion to the perimeter without sacrificing modern scratch resistance.
