High-Tech Sub-Aquatic Precision: Bremont Supermarine Full Ceramic Deep Blue

When British watchmaker Bremont first introduced its Full Ceramic Supermarine line, it marked a decisive leap forward in high-performance, lightweight dive watch engineering.

Now, the Henley-on-Thames brand expands that tactical platform with its most evocative edition yet: the Bremont Supermarine Full Ceramic Deep Blue. Inspired by the desolate meeting point where freezing ocean currents meet glacial ice, this cold-water instrument pairs extreme deep-sea capability with advanced metallurgy.

Priced at £6450 and strictly limited to 250 pieces worldwide, the Deep Blue is an uncompromising tool watch engineered for the world’s most unforgiving environments.

Mono-Block Blue Ceramic Metallurgy & Oceanic Ergonomics

At the core of the Deep Blue is a 43mm mono-block ceramic case rendered in a striking, deep oceanic blue. Measuring 13mm thick with a lug-to-lug span of 50mm, the watch head weighs a nimble 74 grams—achieving exceptional scratch resistance and lightweight wrist comfort without sacrificing structural integrity.

Inside, a protective titanium inner case shields the mechanical movement, enabling a formidable 500-metre (50 ATM) water resistance rating complete with an integrated helium escape valve.

Topping the case is a knurled titanium unidirectional rotating bezel fitted with a matching blue ceramic insert. The tactile knurling ensures effortless operation even when wearing thick neoprene diving gloves.

Flip the watch over, and you are greeted by a PVD blue titanium screw-in case back finely engraved with a detailed map of the world’s oceans. Securing the watch is a blue embossed rubber strap lined with soft leather, featuring an intuitive quick-release system for effortless strap swaps.

3D Wave Pattern Dial & Naval Crosshair Geometry

While the case boasts rich blue tones, the dial takes a darker, more technical approach. The surface features a pronounced black three-dimensional wave pattern that catches ambient light, evoking the churning waters of the North Atlantic.

Applied trapezoidal and circular indexes extend from the bezel ring onto the dial, converging visually toward the centre to create a naval-inspired crosshair.

“Tested in the freezing glacial lakes and high-altitude ice caps of Iceland by former Royal Marine Aldo Kane, the £6450 Supermarine Full Ceramic Deep Blue proves that extreme lightness and 500-metre capability can coexist seamlessly.”

Both the indices and polished black-gold hands are coated in Super-LumiNova® with a vibrant blue emission, guaranteeing immediate legibility in pitch-black aquatic depths. The date window at 3 o’clock is neatly integrated with a black wheel to match the dial backdrop, while a crisp white minute track runs along the black outer flange.

Calibre BB64AH Precision & Glacial Field Testing

Powering the Deep Blue is Bremont’s automatic Calibre BB64AH. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), this 25-jewel engine features a Glucydur balance wheel, an Anachron balance spring, and a Nivaflex mainspring delivering a dependable 56-hour power reserve.

To prove its resilience, Bremont ambassador and former Royal Marine Aldo Kane field-tested the timepiece across Iceland—subjecting it to sub-zero dives in glacial lakes and exposed mountain climbs.
