BRAVUR GRAND TOUR – LA CORSA ROSA III: A Tribute to Elegance and Cycling Spirit

The BRAVUR Grand Tour – La Corsa Rosa III Chronograph (£2075) is a timepiece that celebrates the passion and tradition of cycling, drawing inspiration from the iconic Giro d’Italia. With a 38.2 mm case diameter, this chronograph offers the perfect balance between classic dimensions and modern sportiness. The stainless steel case is treated with a matte black ceramic PVD coating, adding a sleek, sophisticated edge to an already striking design.

The La Corsa Rosa III features a grey metallic sandwich dial, complete with recessed pink hour indices filled with Super-LumiNova lume. The black frames around the indices and sub dials elegantly connect to the minute scale, giving the dial a sense of depth and complexity. The sub dials themselves are recessed with a subtle circular texture, adding to the overall allure of this timepiece. The 3 o’clock sub dial features three colored segments, representing the leaders’ jerseys of the Giro: pink for the overall leader, blue for the king of the mountains, and purple for the sprinter.

This chronograph comes equipped with three sub dials: a 15-minute counter at 3 o’clock for those crucial intervals, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock for keeping track of your riding time, and a running seconds display at 9 o’clock. The central second hand functions as a 60-second chronograph, activated by pressing the chronograph pushers on the side of the case. Each hand on the watch is rhodium-plated, with Super-LumiNova infill for optimal visibility, while the bright pink chronograph hand adds a sporty and unique flair.

One of the distinctive features of the La Corsa Rosa III is the upside-down number 13 on the 15-minute sub dial, a nod to the long-standing cycling tradition where riders turn their number 13 upside down to ward off bad luck. This detail captures the essence of cycling culture, making the watch an ideal companion for enthusiasts who understand the lore and rituals of the sport.

The watch is powered by the Swiss-made Sellita SW511 automatic movement, featuring 27 jewels, a 62-hour power reserve, and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). The movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back, offering a glimpse of the meticulous craftsmanship within. The 38.2 mm case combines polished and brushed surfaces, creating a visually captivating and dynamic appearance.

Completing the sporty aesthetic is a black FKM rubber strap, offering comfort both on and off the bike. The strap’s pin buckle provides a secure fit, ensuring that the watch remains firmly in place during any adventure. The watch’s water resistance of 10 ATM means it can handle both the thrill of a ride and the elements that come with it.
